OUR STUDENTS

Students with Leona after a performance at the Yamaha Piano Hall (2025)

Our students are adult learners of all levels and backgrounds, who have either learned music as a child and later returned to lessons, or who have started as during adulthood. They are extremely passionate about their musical practice alongside a busy professional life in their respective careers.

Find out more about individual students and their stories below:

  • Jake

Jake studied piano as a child and returned to the instrument after a 25 year break. Alongside his busy job at the NHS, he is an avid player of Bach and Ravel; he especially enjoys playing in chamber music groups. Jake is a regular performer at local performance venues for amateur classical musicians. His most recent performance was a lunchtime concert at the Royal London Hospital in Whitechapel.

  • Kyera

Kyera started studying the piano in her late thirties and is currently focussing mostly on several Chopin Nocturnes. She also plays the small harp, is passionate about tennis and is now working on a potential novel project. Outside of these pursuits, Kyera offers grounded Tarot and astrology consultations with a therapeutic angle at Hecate Tarot.
